Satay Sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 clove garlic crushed
  • 1 onion chopped
  • ¼ – ½ tsp. chilli powder
  • ½ c peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • ¾ c coconut cream
  • salt

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a saucepan
  • Add garlic, onion and chilli powder
  • Cook until onion is clear
  • Stir in the peanut butter, soy sauce, lemon juice and sugar
  • Add coconut cream
  • Cook until mixture boils, stirring constantly
  • Season with salt to taste
  • Add more sugar if necessary

Notes

Serve with meingin kebabs / stir fry vegetables / vegetarian burgers / baked marinated tofu
