Our mission

One of our core functions is to support everyone within the Christchurch community following, or interested in adopting, a vegan lifestyle. We do that by:

• supporting members, volunteers and those seeking advice or support
• educating the community about the benefits of a plant-based diet
• visiting schools and offering guest speaker opportunities
• advocating a healthy and cruelty-free lifestyle via our community events
• running our annual Vegan Expo, which has become a huge success
• a monthly community Vegan Night Mākete showcasing the best local plant-based foods and goods
• selling cool things to raise funds to support local activities
• publishing free fortnightly newsletters about local news and events
• a Business Network supporting businesses who provide vegan goods and services in Ōtautahi Christchurch and throughout Aotearoa
• offering a Vegan Angel service of meals and baked treats for those in need in our community
