Inspired by Christchurch, Kapiti held its first ever Vegan Expo last Sunday which proved to be massively popular, stunning organisers when some 3000 people attended. CVS President, Yolanda Soryl, said they were very happy to share their knowledge, experience and resources to help get this event in the lower North Island on its feet. “We even had a small team of our volunteers fly up to help on the day and run our fundraising vegan sausage sizzle and stall. Both our stalls were extremely popular and definitely worth attending”, says Yolanda. Well done, Cath and her awesome team!
