Indian Festival. Food, Music and Performances  11am – 5pm, this Sunday!

The Bombay Bazaar invites Christchurch to join them this weekend for Mela (meaning ‘Carnival’) to celebrate a revolutionised new ethnic shopping destination for vegetarian and vegan eaters, social-ethnic hub, and a marketplace for experiencing Indian culture.

Bombay Bazaar has created a space where everyone can go to experience and embrace Indian culture, while supporting locals traders and merchants in their community. They even offer free rental spaces for people who need support to help promote themselves, especially migrants and refugees. Additionally, they are intent on providing Christchurch with the very best ethnic food shopping experience. They have handpicked products from all over India and beyond. They will also be celebrating the Indian Festival of Raksha Bandhan on this day with free Rakhis (bracelets) and sweets, henna, music, performances and Indian Street Food plus other free activities for all ages.
