Michelle, known throughout Canterbury as The Salt Lady, is a self-confessed foodie with a passion for creating interesting sea salt blends using fresh, seasonal produce from local growers who believe in their products.
After learning about various salts and cooking for others, who asked if she would consider sharing her special salt blends with them, she began selling her products at the Christmas Festival Markets in her local villages. Through word of mouth, her success grew, and when she moved to NZ she transferred her business and love of good quality food to Christchurch!
PS: Michelle will be speaking at our shared potluck (all welcome) after our AGM on August 13. The AGM starts at 4pm and the potluck from 6pm – both at Christchurch Community House (301 Tuam St).
