Film screening: Dominion

In case you missed the Christchurch pre-screening of the highly anticipated documentary Dominion, another screening has been arranged by local resident, Sarah Van Der Krogt. “I turned vegan after watching this documentary because I made the choice – I simply could no longer contribute to the suffering. It broke my heart watching it, tears start to well up just thinking about it” Sarah told Christchurch Vegan Society. “I think if you have the privilege of choice then you ought to do something about it. Choice is powerful and shouldn’t be overlooked as we know not everyone gets a choice. People deserve to know the truth so they can then make an informed decision for themselves.”

Dominion is an Australian-based documentary that exposes the dark underbelly of modern animal agriculture through drones, hidden and handheld cameras. The feature-length film explores the morality and validity of our dominion over the animal kingdom.
